American Indian Movement warriors and brothers, Dino and Gary Butler are acquitted in a Portland Oregon trial. They were accused of the 1981 killing of a white grave robber who was targeting Siletz graves. Dino Butler was a target of FBI harrassment after his 1975 acquittal (for self-defense) in the case relating to the deaths of two FBI agents in Pine Ridge. Agents told Dino they were "out to get him no matter how long it took". In the Oregon case, FBI agents hypnotized their 'eyewitnesses' and repeatedly showed them photos of the Butler brothers. Jury acquitted the brothers. (nmh)
