WCH: On 21 June 2020 a statue of Danish-Norwegian coloniser, Hans Egede, was vandalised in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. It was daubed with red paint and the word "decolonise". The incident followed a burst of Black Lives Matter protests around the world. Greenland was colonised by Denmark. The local reaction on social media was mostly positive, with one local Inuit person, Paninnguaq Lind Jensen, writing on Facebook: "Inuit are constantly silenced and never given the opportunity to process the traumas that have been passed down for generations".
