Birthday of Yet-si-blue (Janet McCloud)

Native activist and editor of the newsletter Survival News which documented Fish Wars from the Native side. Organizer for the Fish Wars. She cofounded Women of All Red Nations, which did early organizing around the outside forced adoptions of Native children as well as bring awareness to forced sterilization of Native women. They also did work opposing uranium mining and other environmental pollution issues. Janet was also a spiritual leader.
